Kara No Kyoukai: The Garden Of Sinners. A young girl who has the "Mystic Eyes of Death Perception," a mystical ability that allows the individual to see the "end" of everything that exists and kill the entity by killing its "origin." She has recently recovered from a two-year coma resulting from a car accident. She initially had two personalities before the traffic accident, a male personality named Shiki (織), and the original female personality Shiki (式). Children born into the Ryōgi family are generally male and are raised with two personalities, so the male personality is usually called the "yang" personality, while the female is called the "yin" personality. It is easy to tell which Shiki speaks at a given time because they both have a distinct style of speaking, especially that the female Shiki refers to herself with the pronoun watashi (私), while male Shiki refers to himself as ore (オレ). After waking up from her coma, Shiki discovers that she can no longer feel the presence of the male Shiki and assumes that he died as a result of the accident. Before the crash, she still senses a distance from her memories and although she realizes she's Shiki, she doesn't believe like she's. She puts on a cold façade in hopes of restoring herself and the "dead" Shiki, which somewhat resembles the male Shiki's and attempts to behave like the female Shiki did. Tōko understands Shiki's sense of detachment but regards the current Shiki as a third, new personality.
