Moteki. Yukiyo Fujimoto, 20, has resigned himself to a loveless life in the vast metropolis of Tokyo. He is just a temporary worker with absolutely no hopes, goals or ambitions. Yukiyo finds himself in sudden contact with various women he 's known from the past: Natsuki Komiyama, an unrequited love; Aki Doi, a crush from a previous job; Itsuka Nakashiba, a friend he 'd been interested in; and Naoko Hayashida, an ex-classmate whose behavior charms and intrigues him. Remembering a similar series of events occurring to an acquaintance, Yukiyo starts to wonder whether it is actually time for his "moteki," a span of time in a person's life when they are unexpectedly and inexplicably extremely appealing to their love interests. Saying that only a few times in one's life would happen, Yukiyo finds himself encouraged to chase love with a vigor that he had never felt before in his life. Can the luckless Yukiyo finally discover the thrilling relationship he gave up on?
